NORFOLK, Va. – The North Carolina A&T men's tennis team completed its first season back since having the program discontinued in 2006 with a 6-1 loss to Norfolk State at Centre Court Racquet Club on Friday.

The Aggies finished their season 0-16 overall and 0-4 in the conference after the MEAC matchup against the Spartans (6-12, 2-3 MEAC).

The Aggies lone win came from Kyle Scott from the No. 6 singles position.  Scott defeated Shaheed Mourillon-Swift 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 and 10-8 in the tiebreaker. It was Scott's first win of the season as he battled to end a personal 15-match losing streak. Brett Caban, the Aggies leader in wins this season with four, lost at No. 4 singles to Daniel Grauel, 6-3, 6-1. Caban won three matches from the No. 4 singles position.

The other entertaining matchup featured John Wilson IV at No. 3 singles. He and Antonio Pejic battled to a tiebreaker in the first set (7-5) before Pejic came away as a 7-6 winner. Wilson and Pejic went nine games before Pejic prevailed 6-3. Dreshaun Jarmon was the Aggies No. 1 singles player and lost to Pascal Domnik 6-2, 7-5.

The Aggies lost the doubles point to the Spartans by losing all three doubles matches.
