Biography

Jones was the only receiver announced on the Aggies Signing Day in 2022 ... A&T receiver coach Nate Poole described him as quick as a hiccup ... In addition to his receiving duties, he also returned punts and kickoffs for the Aggies last season … An injury ended his season early, but should return as a weapon for the Aggies on the offensive end … Could be effective in the slot for the Aggies in 2023.

2022 Season: Played in eight games without a start … Made five receptions for 27 yards … Returned eight kickoffs for 143 yards and eight punts for 87 yards … Ranked seventh in the Big South in kickoff return yards … Returned a punt 27 yards in the fourth quarter against South Carolina State on Sept. 24 that led to a 38-yard touchdown run … Had an 18-yard punt return at Robert Morris that led to a 52-yard touchdown run on Oct. 22.

High School: He played high school football at Oscar Smith in Chesapeake, Va., under head coach Chris Scott ... Named first-team All-Region, first-team All-Tidewater and first-team All-State ... Led Oscar Smith to a 13-1 mark as a senior and back-to-back Class 6A state championships ... Made 45 receptions for 1,061 yards and 14 touchdowns ... Also returned five punts for touchdowns.
