Biography

 

Will continue his starting role at point guard this season, after backing up Tavarus Alston from the 2008-10...Possess tremendous speed even with the ball in his hands...Has always played fearless when going in the paint despite his 5-foot-8 frame...Provides the Aggies with a scorer from the point guard position...Has tremendous hops, and can easily dunk with two hands...Head coach Jerry Eaves calls him a one-man fastbreak...Looks to be more offensive minded on a consistent basis...Eaves believes he has the ability to  score 20 or more points in multiple games...Enters his senior season with 624 career points in 97 games played with 221 career assists...He has a .352 career field goal percentage, a .326 career 3-point field goal percentage and a .774 career free throw percentage.

 

2010-2011 Season: Hill averaged 29.2 minutes per game, starting in all 32 contests...Finished third on the team with a 10.8 points per game average...Shot .377 from the field, .388 from 3-point range and .805 from the free throw line...Averaged 2.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 0.9 steals...Finished 22nd in the MEAC in scoring ...Ranked tied for 10th in assists in the MEAC ranked 3rd in the conference in free throw percentage...Was third overall in the conference and first on the Aggies team with a .388 3-point field goal percentage...Hill was 10th in the MEAC with a 1.4 assist/turnover ratio...Had a season-best .833 3-point field goal percentage on Dec. 4 against Norfolk State...Posted a perfect free throw percentage twice, going 8-for-8 on the line on Nov. 12 at Ohio State and on Jan. 8 against Florida A&M...Led the team in scoring in eight games, in assists in 17 games, and in steals in seven games...He hit double-digit points I 18 times...He scored a season-high 29 points on Dec. 4 against Norfolk State...Posted a season-high seven assists on Nov. 26 in a win over Greensboro College...Had a season-high four steals on Nov. 29 in the victory at UNC-Greensboro.

 

2009-2010 Season: Played in 33 games without a start...Scored in double figures four times during the season...Shot .348 from the floor, .281 from 3-point range and .725 from the free throw line...Went 4-for-4 and scored nine points off the bench to help the Aggies defeat Coppin State 67-62 on Jan. 31...Had 10 points, six assists and four rebounds at UTEP on Nov. 25...Had a career-high 18 points and was 6-for-9 from the floor in the Aggies 87-69 win over S.C. State on Feb. 17.

2008-09 Season: Hill competed in 32 games his freshman year, averaging 14.8 points a game...He totaled 102 points with 43 rebounds, 51 assists and 22 steals...He had a .293 field goal percentage, a .255 3-point field goal percentage and a .769 free throw percentage...Ranked seventh on the team in scoring, first in free throw percentage, and second in assists...Led the team in steals in three games, and in assists in five games...Had a season-high six assists on March 5 at Norfolk State...Led the team with a season-high 11 points in the loss at Norfolk State on March 5...Scored 10 points on Nov. 28 against Texas-Pan American.

 

High School: Played three varsity seasons at powerhouse program Bishop McNamara...Named to the All-County team as a junior and senor...Was a McDonald's All-American nominee...Named MVP at the Hoop Group High School Shootout...As a junior, he averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 assists and 2.1 rebounds...Averaged 12.1 points and 5.0 assists as a senior...Played in the 35th Capital Classic High School All-Star Game...Finished his career as the all-time assists leader at Bishop McNamara...Ranks second on the single-season assists list...Maintained a 3.0 or higher throughout his high school career, and he made the honor roll every year.
