North Carolina A&T

Hopes to turn a strong cross country season into outstanding indoor and outdoor track and field seasons...Should add to what is becoming a growing group of distance runners at North Carolina A&T...She is a N.C. A&T Scholar Athlete.  

2010-2011 Season: Finished with a time of 14:00.00 at the NCCU Cross Country Invitational...Two weeks later on Oct. 15 at the NCCU Cross Country Classic, Johnson finished the 5k run in 19:47.25.   

2009-2010 Season: Placed in sixth in the women's distance medley at the 2010 MEAC Indoor Championship with a time of 13:04.21...Named Cross Country Rookie of the Year at the N.C. A&T All Sports Award Banquet.

High School: Competed in varsity track and field for four years at Landstown High School...She also participated in field hockey...Named All-State in track and field in the state of Virginia.

Personal:  Full name is Samira Johnson...She is a mechanical engineering major who serves as the publication chair and historian for SWE, as well as the co-community service chair for SAAC...She is an honors student who enjoys community service, church and graphic design... She is the daughter of Harris and Sabrina Johnson and was born Aug. 6, 1991.
