Followed up an outstanding freshman season with an even better sophomore campaign ... Made the MEAC's All-Rookie team as a freshman and continued her ascend toward the school record books when it comes to digs recorded ... Now ranks fifth on the school’s all-time list with 888 digs … Ranked among the best servers in the nation and was great at serve-receive for the Aggies as a freshman ... Over the first two years of her career she has ranked nationally as one of the best defensive players in the country and the MEAC  … Has excellent range on the back row … Flourished for Club Coamo ETVC under coach Jorge Rivera … Won numerous MVP honors at the club level … Came in and immediately competed for playing time as one of the Aggies top defenders.
 
2019 Season: Played in 30 matches within 113 sets played with no starts … Was named MEAC defensive specialist of the week twice on Sept. 23 and on Oct. 14 … Recorded 470 digs, which ranks fourth in school history for a single season … Ranked third in the conference in digs per set (4.26) after leading the MEAC throughout portions of the season … Set a career-high with 32 digs against Western Carolina (Sept. 20), which ranks tied for tied for fourth most in a single match in school history and recorded 30 digs against N.C. Central to rank tied for 10^th most … Recorded 100 assists, 12 service aces … Had 26 matches of 10-plus digs including eight matches of 20-plus digs … Averaged 4.23 digs in conference play … Recorded her first career double-double with 32 digs and 11 assists against Western Carolina (Sept. 20).
 

2018 Season: Played in all 93 sets as the libero over 26 sets with no starts … Averaged a team-best 4.49 digs … Recorded a team-high 418 digs during the season with 24 matches with double-figure digs and five matches with 20-plus digs … Nationally, ranked 41^stin service aces per set (0.40) and 117^thin digs per set … In the MEAC, ranked second in digs per set and fourth in service aces per set … Posted a career-high 29 digs against Howard in a three-setter in the MEAC championship match on Nov. 18 … Recorded 27 digs in a three-setter with five assists against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 30 …  Posted a career-high five service aces against Savannah State on Nov. 4… Had four service aces at Coppin State on Sept. 22 … Had a career-high six assists at Elon on Aug. 28 and against Norfolk State on Sept. 21.

High School: Played at Colegio Sagrado a Corazon de Jesus’ … Played under head coach Luis Trujillo … Helped her team win the Sagrado Corazon Tournament four consecutive years (2015-18) … Won the Puerto Rico South Catholic Schools League Colegio Sagrado Corazon … Was also an honor student and a member of the National Honor Society … Also, lettered in basketball.

Personal: Full name is Andrea Laboy-Rivera … Has one sibling, Andres’ Laboy … Her favorite food is salmon with Caesar Salad.
