High School: Played high school football at Greene Central … Earned All-Area running back honors from The Free Press newspaper in Kinston, N.C. … As a senior running back, he carried the ball 156 times for 1,415 yards and 24 touchdowns … On the defensive side of the ball, he made 35 tackles and picked off three passes … During his junior season, The Free Press named him All-Area as a defensive back after he made 66 tackles and intercepted seven passes.
