Young sprinter who will be a major part of the resurgence of the A&T women’s track and field program…Could help the Aggies in the 200 and 400 meters as well as the relays.

 High School: Competed on varsity for four years at West Charlotte…Received the Lion Award…Was named MVP and most improved…Rorie was a regional qualifier and received the Black Caucus Scholarship award…Was an A/B honor roll student…placed fifth at the Winterguard Championships.

Personal: Full name is Deonna Rorie…She is the daughter of William and Kerry Rorie…He was born on Octover 30, 1994…Has five siblings, TeAsia, Dezmond, Michael, DeAndre and Chiquita Rorie…Her major is biology…Plans to go to medical school after graduation…Enjoys clinically helping others…Is also  involved in Girls Scouts…Her pre-competition routine is to recite “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”…Her inspiration for running is the death of her grandmother who died the day of Rorie’s 400 meter race in the summer of 2013.
