GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T received major recognition from the conference on Monday ahead of hosting the second-place team in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) volleyball standings Saturday and Sunday in the Hofstra Pride at Moore Gymnasium.
The CAA named sophomore Tyne Ross offensive player of the week and freshman Zariah Winton rookie of the week. Ross captured her seventh career weekly honor, and she won offensive player of the week for the third time in her career. Winton captured weekly honor No. 1 for her career. Ross and Winton helped the Aggies earn a weekend sweep of the Elon Phoenix at Elon.
"We are very excited for both Tyne and Zariah," said A&T head coach Hal Clifton. "Both young ladies had an excellent weekend in a tough conference matchup.
