NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES (0-6, 0-0 Big South):Â After starting the first six games on the road, the Aggies host South Carolina State for their home opener.
Last time out, the Aggies fell to No. 1 South Carolina 79-42. The Aggies have faced a brutal schedule. They have already played three Power Fives, including the No. 1 Gamecocks. But the Aggies get the next three games at home, including two former Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foes and the East Carolina Pirates. Then, the Aggies will get one more road test at Cincinnati before entering Big South Conference play for the first time.Â
Head coach Tarrell Robinson enters his 10th season with a 175-98 overall record and is coming off his third MEAC championship last season.
SOUTH CAROLINA STATE BULLDOGS (0-7, 0-0 MEAC): S.C. State is also looking for its first win of the season. SCSU fell to Campbell 67-46 Wednesday in Orangeburg, S.C., the last time out. Â
Trinity Klock leads the Bulldogs with 13.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. She also leads with 12 blocks. Nicole Gwynn averages 9.9 points and 4.3 rebounds, and Lovely Soonier leads the team with 13 steals.
Audra Smith is in her fourth season at SCSU and has posted a 20-59 overall record. With her five seasons at Clemson and UAB, she has posted a 129-219 overall record.Â
THE SERIES:  The Aggies lead the series 47-30, including 22-12 in Corbett Sports Center. A&T has won the last 14 meetings against the Bulldogs, with their previous win coming on Feb. 16, 2013. It was a 68-57 win in Orangeburg, S.C. Â
A&T has won the last five meetings in Corbett Sports Center, with the previous Bulldogs win at Corbett coming on Feb. 11, 2012, when SCSU defeated A&T 71-68. Â

- The Aggies will play their first home game on Saturday after playing their first six contests on the road. It is the longest streak of games the Aggies women's basketball program has played on the road before playing their first home game.Â
- This season, the Aggies have faced three teams with 900-plus wins in school history. UNC's second win of the season was its 1,000th win. Kansas State entered this season with 978 wins, and South Carolina entered the season with 911 wins. Â
- The last time the Aggies opened a season 0-6 or worse was in 2005-06 when A&T started 0-11. The worst start under head coach Tarrell Robinson was in 2015-16 when A&T began 0-4 and finished the season 19-12, winning the MEAC title and advancing to the NCAA tournament.Â
- In six games this season, five Aggies have led the team in scoring. Scott is the only player to lead the Aggies in scoring more than once. She led the Aggies with 15 points at K-State and 25 at Elon. Â
- Under Robinson, the Aggies are 7-2 in home openers, and in school history, A&T is 19-21 in home openers. Â
