NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES (3-7, 0-0 Big South): The Aggies will put their 11-game home winning streak on the line against Longwood in the first Big South Conference game in school history.

Shareka McNeill received Big South Player of the Week honors on Dec. 20. In two games last week, McNeill averaged 23.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 18-for-33 (.546) from the field and 11-for-19 (.579) from the 3-point line.

Head coach Tarrell Robinson enters his 10th season with a 178-99 overall record and is coming off his third Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championship last season. In Corbett Sports Center, the Aggies have a 94-24 record under Robinson.

LONGWOOD LANCERS (3-8, 0-0 Big South): Longwood comes to Greensboro on a six-game losing streak after a three-game winning streak.

Longwood last played on Dec. 18, where the Lancers lost at home to American, 62-58.

Kyla McMakin leads the Lancers with 15.8 points per game and second with 4.6 rebounds. Akila Smith leads the team with 7.2 rebounds per game and second with 15.5 points per game.

Rebecca Tillett is in her fourth season as the head coach at Longwood. In 2018-19, Tillett's first season, the Lancers went 3-27 overall and 2-16 in the Big South. However, in 2020-21, Longwood posted a 14-11 mark overall and a 12-6 conference record. 

THE SERIES:  The only meeting between the two schools was on Nov. 25, 2006, when the Aggies defeated Longwood 79-63 in Corbett Sports Center.

GAME NOTES: 

• The Aggies won the last 11 games in Corbett Sports Center, including three this season. A&T went a perfect 6-0 last year in Corbett.
• A&T's last game against a Big South opponent was a trip to Buies Creek, N.C., to face Campbell on Nov. 18, 2015. The Camels won 56-55. The two schools were scheduled to play on Dec. 9, 2020, but canceled the game due to COVID.   
• Chanin Scott is averaging 15.6 points in her last seven games, including five double-figure games. She is averaging 9.0 rebounds in her last seven with three double-figure games. 
• Four Aggies are averaging double figures in scoring in the team's last four games, including Chanin Scott (15.5), Shareka McNeill (14.5), Jazmin Harris (13.0) and D'Mya Tucker (12.3). 
• Head coach Tarrell Robinson is 14 wins away from being the program's all-time leader and wins, and 22 from becoming the third coach – men's or women's basketball – to compile 200 wins as a head coach at A&T. 
• Chanin Scott is doing it again. After ranking in the top-10 in seven different statistical categories in the MEAC last season, she ranks in the top-10 in four categories in the Big South this season, including scoring, rebounding, steals and field goal percentage.
