AGGIES OVERVIEW: North Carolina A&T began the season last Saturday with a 15-6 loss to Hampton in the home opener.  Junior second basemen Stephanie Williams went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a double, while sophomore shortstop Dominique "Nikki" Varela went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

CHARLOTTE 49ERS: Charlotte was picked last in the Conference USA preseason poll, but catcher Bailey Vannoy was named on the preseason all-conference team. The 49ers went 1-5 in the opening weekend at home with the only win against Appalachian State 9-5 in the second game of the year. Charlotte's first 17 games are at home. The 49ers are led by Vannoy with a .524 batting average and three home runs and Spenser Gray with a .350 batting average. In the circle, Alison Green leads the team with a 1-0 record a 4.06 ERA, while Carson Pace has an 0-3 record and a 4.41 ERA.

MOREHEAD STATE: Morehead State was picked last in the Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll.  This weekend is the season opener for the Eagles. The Rams are led by Sami Villarreal with a .308 batting average and Alex Pleasic with a .300 average.
