Le'on Hill (6-foot-2, SR, forward, Columbia, S.C.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) women's basketball defensive player of the week as announced by the conference Tuesday.

Tarrell Robinson said. "Among the many goals she has set for herself on and off the court, being recognize as one of the top defenders in this league. She's been vital all year to our teams defensive efforts."
Hill averaged 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 6.5 points, 1.5 assists and 0.5 steals in two games last week as the Aggies went 1-1. Hill recorded 11 rebounds, two blocks, six points, three assists and a steal in a 57-48 win over crosstown rival UNC Greensboro last Thursday and also recorded 11 rebounds and two blocks at Akron Monday with seven points.
She ranks ninth in school history with 86 career blocks. This season, the forward ranks seventh in the MEAC in rebounds per game (6.5). Her 1.5 blocks per game ranks fourth in the conference.
The Aggies travel to Clemson, S.C., to face Clemson Friday at 2 p.m. in the final game before Christmas.
