EAST GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T women's basketball defeated UNC Greensboro 57-48 to win the battle of Greensboro as the Aggies won their fourth consecutive game with another come-from-behind victory.

With the Aggies trailing by four points, 30-26, senior center
Alexus Lessears made a basket cut the Spartans lead to two points, 30-28, with 8:59 remaining in the third quarter, but UNCG pushed their lead to 37-30 over the next four minutes.
Then the Aggies started their comeback by scoring the final nine points of the third quarter to take their first lead of the game, 39-37, after a layup by
Shantell Bostick with a second left in the third.
The Spartans recaptured the lead to open the fourth quarter by taking a 40-39 over the first 17 seconds. A
Cinia McCray 3-pointer gave the Aggies a 45-42 lead with 8 ½ minutes remaining.
After a Spartan layup to cut the lead to 45-44, the Aggies scored the next four points thanks to Lessears to increase their lead to 49-44 with three minutes remaining.
Another Spartan layup cut the lead to three points, 49-46, with 2:32 remaining in the game, but N.C. A&T went on an 8-1 run to take a 57-47 lead with 25 seconds remaining on the clock.
The Aggies (6-3) outscored the Spartans 31-18 in the second half and have outscored their opponents 121-71 in the second half during the four game winning streak.
McCray led the team with a game-high 17 points and shot 6-for-11 from the field including 4-for-9 from the 3-point arc. Lessears added 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while shooting 5-for-9 from the floor.
"Cinia has played well at home," Robinson said. "She shot the ball well when we played against ETSU. She's getting her confidence back and playing like a senior and understands. All week, she really wanted to beat this UNCG team."
Senior forward
Le'on Hill led the team with 11 rebounds and added six points, three assists and two blocks, while senior guard
C'coriea Foy added eight points, six assists and four points.
"Rebounding and she had to guard one of the best guards in the country in Soliman," Robinson said of Foy. "She had a big steal at the end of the game that sealed it for us."
UNC Greensboro (6-4) took a 14-8 lead in the first quarter. The Spartans increased their lead to 27-17 with 2:55 remaining in the first half. But the Aggies scored nine of the final 12 points of the first half to cut the lead to four points, 30-26. The spurt included four points from Foy and a 3-pointer from McCray for the final made basket of the half.
The Spartans were led by Nadine Soliman with a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Aggies look to extend their four-game winning streak with a trip to Ohio to face Akron Monday at 6 p.m.
