Conference Releases ESPN TV Schedule

GREENSBORO – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference released the 2016 conference television basketball schedule for the ESPN platforms on Wednesday. North Carolina A&T will host one game, a women's basketball at Corbett Sports Center on Saturday, Jan. 16 against Hampton University on ESPN3 at 2 p.m.

The Aggies and the Pirates have routinely been at or near the top of the conference standings over the past eight seasons. But it has been the Pirates who have claimed five out of the last six MEAC titles and the last five regular-season championships. Meanwhile the Aggies have worked diligently to replace them at the top of the MEAC. Over the past six seasons, the Aggies have one regular-season title, two second-place finishes, two third-place finishes and a fifth-place finish.

Hampton has won the last four meetings between the two rivals and leads the all-time series 21-14. The last two matchups have gone down to the wire with Hampton winning by six last season and by three during the 2013-14 campaign. Both of those contests were on the road for N.C. A&T.

As part of its agreement with ESPN, the MEAC will highlight four men's regular-season games and one women's game. The TV schedule is as follows:
