SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Freshman Dreshaun Jarmon came close to win a set for the North Carolina A&T men's tennis for the first time this season but fell a little short as Wofford defeated the Aggies 7-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Aggies dropped to 0-3 on the season, while Wofford improved to 2-1. Jarmon was playing in the No. 2 singles position for the second time this season after opening the year as the No. 2 singles player against Michigan State. Jarmon lost in match 6-2, 6-2 to MSU's Brett Forman. He then moved to the No. 1 singles spot in a match against Appalachian State.

On Saturday, he was back at No. 2 and giving Walker Heffron fits in the first set. The two men battled back-and-forth before Heffron took the first set 7-6. Hefforn was much stronger in the second set, defeating Jarmon 6-0.

The Terriers had an easier time in the other single contest. John Wilson IV moved into the No. 1 spot and lost to Rob Galloway 6-0, 6-1. Wofford took the doubles point by sweeping through all three doubles contest. The team of Joshua Bailey and Nicholas Whitehead were the only pair able to score against the Terriers in doubles as they dropped their No. 3 doubles match 6-1.

The Aggies return home Tuesday, Feb. 3 to face Pfeiffer at the Piedmont Indoor Center at 3 p.m.
