Joseph Hill’s journey from playing stickball to becoming a star at North Carolina A&T indicates his passion and dedication to baseball.

His grandparents played a significant role in supporting his love for the sport. They signed him up for Little League Baseball, which laid the foundation for his baseball career. Hill excelled in baseball in high school, leading the Cleveland Indians to draft him. However, he decided to pursue a college education at N.C. A&T and play in the baseball program.

During his time at N.C. A&T, Hill achieved remarkable success. He earned awards such as 1st Team All-conference and All-Tournament Team as a center fielder from 1990-1993. In addition, he was a four-time All-middle Eastern Conference (MEAC) outfielder and a four-time All-MEAC Tournament player. For his career, he hit 29 home runs, stole 82 bases, posted 76 RBI and had a .364 batting average. In 2018, N.C. A&T honored Hill by inducting him into their Sports Hall of Fame.

After graduating from N.C. A&T with a degree in Business Management, Hill found success in the business world. His degree opened doors for him and allowed him to join companies that provided training and career opportunities. Despite having the opportunity to be drafted after high school, Hill believed that his path was to attend N.C. A&T. The university allowed him to meet like-minded individuals who shared his passion for baseball. Together, they worked hard and played their best to honor N.C. A&T.
