North Carolina A&T head women's basketball coach Tarrell Robinson named Mike Moses, Jr. as an assistant coach for the program on July 11, 2023. Moses will also serve as Robinson's recruiting coordinator. Moses comes to A&T after spending a season as the director of recruiting at Western Kentucky University, organizing all the Toppers campus visits for prospects.

Most of the success Moses has garnered has come on the high school level at St. Pauls High School in St. Pauls, N.C. The Bulldogs went 97-24 under Moses in five seasons, including a 67-3 mark and three conference championships over his final three seasons with the program.

He is the two-time Robeson County coach of the year (2018, 2020), and in 2020 he was named the Three Rivers Conference Class 2A coach of the year. Moses also brings collegiate experience to Aggieland after serving as an assistant coach with the Fayetteville State men's basketball program (2009-15). He also played collegiately for the Broncos and earned a degree in education from the university in 2010.

Moses also coached the AAU team Carolina Flames in the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), considered AAU's top league. Moses' father played college basketball at Florida and St. John's, leading the Red Storm to the Final Four in 1984-85. He was an assistant coach in men's basketball at Maine, Xavier, Delaware and Rutgers.
