Ashley Turner became a volunteer softball coach under North Carolina A&T head coach Patti Raduenz at the start of the 2020 season.
Turner comes to N.C. A&T after spending a stint as an assistant softball coach at Dover High School (Del.) from 2015-18. There, she implemented exercise programs and training strategies that bolstered individual and team performance.
Turner graduated from Dover High School where she was a member of the softball team. She played her collegiately at Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) school Howard. At Howard, she was the captain of the softball team for two seasons. She started as an outfielder for the first two seasons and finished as a pitcher for the final two.
She recorded 63 hits with 24 runs scored, six home runs, nine doubles and 34 RBI offensively. In the circle, she recorded 45 strikeouts and recorded in her final two seasons.
Turner graduated from Howard in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sports management and minored in sociology.
