Ahmad Abdullah

Ahmad Abdullah became the director of basketball operations under North Carolina A&T head men’s basketball coach Jay Joyner on November 4, 2019. 

Abdullah will be the main point of contact for other offices within the N.C. A&T athletics department in addition to handling men’s basketball’s day-to-day office operations that include meeting preparation, managing the team calendar and creating the team playbook. 

He will also help monitor academics, serve as the camp director for N.C. A&T camps and he will coordinate the team’s travel. Abdullah will also be expected to edit game film for scouting and game preparation and manage the Aggies ticket lists for home and away games. 

Abdullah served as a point guard for the N.C. A&T men’s basketball team for four seasons. He was member of the 2012-13 team who won the MEAC championship and the school’s first-ever NCAA tournament game. It was the Aggies first MEAC title in 18 years. 

The final two years of his career, he served as the Aggies starting point guard. He played in 85 games as an Aggie and scored 554 points, dished out 198 assists and he connected on 35.9 percent of 3-point attempts. 

Abdullah is a graduate of N.C. A&T State University.
