Jaia Black serves as the North Carolina A&T football program’s assistant director of football operations, where she plans, coordinates, and supervises official and unofficial recruiting visits. Black schedules, handles logistics, and collaborates with the football coaching staff and university officials to create a welcome and informative environment.

Even as an undergraduate at North Carolina A&T State University, Black has a wealth of experience with professional sports, including working as an intern during the 2026 NBA All-Star HBCU Classic.

In 2025, she also worked with the social media content team at the Liberty Mutual Music Bowl, working with the NFL Futures Leaders in Football Forum, and an HBCU Fever Fellow during the WNBA All-Star Weekend. She also earned an NBA HBCU Fellowship to work with the Indiana Pacers during the NBA Finals as a community engagement fellow. She was a marketing intern at the Transperfect Music City Bowl in 2024.

Black is a journalism and mass communications major with a concentration in public relations. She has made the Dean’s List twice and the Chancellor’s List thrice. She is expected to graduate in May of 2027.
