Shaun Hunter

Shaun Hunter enters his first season as the Aggies wide receivers coach under Rod Broadway. Hunter's responsibilities include developing the Aggies wide receiver corp with skill and technique drills to benefit the players. Hunter will also assist with offensive game planning and the weekly passing game.

Before coming to N.C. A&T, he served two seasons under Rod Broadway at Grambling State. During his first season under Broadway, he was a graduate assistant working with tight ends and inside receivers. He helped GSU put together one of the most impressive offenses in Division I-FCS. In 2009, the Tigers had the best scoring, rushing and red zone offense in the SWAC. They ranked ninth, 12th and 13th in those categories nationally.

During the '10 season, Hunter took over as the position coach for wide receivers. His receivers helped the Tigers' offense average 30 points per game. The Tigers also had the second ranked offense in the SWAC. Hunter helped Kaire Thompson become one of the most dangerous receivers in the league. Thompson was second in the conference in yards per catch, third in receiving yards per game and fourth in total reception yards.

Hunter came to Grambling after being an offensive graduate assistant at Colorado State from 2006-08. While at CSU, Hunter assisted with coaching the offensive line and putting together the offensive game plan. He also contributed to breaking down opponent film, coaching the special teams scout team and organizing recruiting weekends.

A native of Fort Collins, Colo., Hunter received a B.A., degree in history from Colorado State in 2006. Hunter is a member of the American Football Coaches Association. He is married to the former Rachel Thomason.
