in the 4k Elon Invitational with a time of 24:10 on Sept. 15...Placed 19th
at the Hagan Stone Invitational as she finished in 28:04.55 in the 5k event on
Oct. 8.
2011 Season: Finished 37th at the MEAC Cross
Country Championships with a time of 21:12.57...Placed fourth at the 5k Elon
Invitational in 22:45...Placed a career-best fifth place at the HBCU Challenge in
Cary, N.C. with a time of 20:34.9...Ran the 5k N.C. Central Cross Country Classic
in 19:58.32.
2010 Season: Participated in six races, including the
MEAC Cross Country Championships...Placed 25th at the 5k MEAC
championships with a time of 19:55.10...Finished the 4k Elon Invitational in
1:02.14 as she finished in 23rd place on Sept. 18...At the 5k Hagan
Stone Invitational on Sept. 25, she finished 25th in 21:31.8...Placed
17th in the 5k HBCU Classic in Cary, N.C., with a time of 20:53.4 on
Oct. 2.
2009 Season: Placed 35th on Sept. 18 at the
Reebox Wolfpack Invitational with a time of 21:02.00 in the 5k event...Finished
the 5k Hagan Stone Invitational with a time of 21:19.8.
High School: Competed in varsity track and field for
four years at Bethel High School, where she was named Valedictorian of her
graduating class.
Personal: Full name is Arianna Betts...She is a
mechanical engineering major and is the member of six honor societies...Serves
as the secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee...Earned the
Athletic Director's Academic Award, and is a member of the Dean's List... List
