2012 Season: Competed in five meets...Finished the season with a 5k season-best 20:13.12 at the 2012 MEAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships in Princess Anne, Md... Finished the 5k Great American Cross Country Festival in 21:25 in Cary, N.C., on Sept. 29...Finished the 4k Elon Invitational in 17th place with a time of 22:52 on Sept. 15.

2011 Season: Competed in four meets...Earned a 5k personal-best 19:47.25 at the NCCU Cross Country Classic on Oct. 15...Placed 19th at the 5k HBCU Challenge in 20:49.5 on Oct. 1...Finished the 2011 MEAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships in 21:01.48 at Princess Anne, Md...

High School: Competed at Landstown High School under coach Dave Coulter for four seasons...Also competed in field hockey.

Personal: Full name is Samira Johnson...She is the daughter of Sabrina and Harris Johnson...Has one sibling, Harris Johnson, Jr., and was born on August 8, 1991...Majors in mechanical engineering and plans to further her education after graduation...Volunteers for the Girls Scouts of America, Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Society of Women Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Society of Black Engineers...Also was appointed the publication chair for SWE and was the co-community service chair for SAAC.
