Baly is a dynamic tennis player and an exceptional student … He is a recipient of one of the school’s most prestigious honors, the Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholarship … The Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholars Enrichment Program is a preeminent scholarship established in 2008 … A&T awards the scholarship to freshmen who have shown academic excellence and scholarly leadership throughout high school … Those selected as Dowdy Scholars receive a full four-year renewable scholarship, including tuition and related fees, room and board … Scholars may also use award funds to travel abroad during the fall and spring semesters … On the court, Baly has played a significant role in the resurgence of the men’s program by going 9-15 in singles play. 

2023 Season: Played in six singles matches and three doubles matches during the season … He went 3-3 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles competitions … He played three matches at No. 5 singles, two matches and No. 6 singles and one match at No. 4 singles … Baly finished 1-0 at No. 4 singles, 1-2 at No. 5 singles, and 1-1 at No. 6 singles … Had his lone Division I win over Norfolk State’s Sadiq Hinton … Played at No. 2 doubles twice with Ian Pedersen, going 2-0 … His other doubles partner during the season was Mathieu Dussaubat. 

2022 Season: Posted a 4-13 record in singles play … He went 7-12 in doubles play with fellow freshman Ian Pedersen … Won four of his first six singles matches … He went 2-2 at the No. 6 singles position … Won his first collegiate match against Shaw’s Guillermo Franco, 6-2, 6-2 on Feb. 27 … Won his first collegiate doubles match against Shaw’s Chavoz and Panashe Garah, 7-6 to clinch the doubles point for A&T.
