Biography

Had an interesting 2014-15 season…Started the season as the Aggies starting point guard, but struggled and eventually became a reserve…Received another opportunity to start after an injury to the Aggies new starting point guard just before the New Year, Abdullah re-entered the starting lineup and excelled…Started the final 17 games of the season…Averaged 11.0 points, 3.6 assists and shooting 41 percent from 3-point range over A&T’s final 17 games… Walked on as a freshman and helped the Aggies win the 2013 MEAC title…Earned more playing time as a sophomore and even surpassed his career-high in minutes during the season…He is an excellent ballhandler…Can shoot the mid-range jump shot and likes to distribute the ball…Has played in 53 career games with 23 starts.

2014-15 Season: Played in 32 games with 23 starts…Averaged 7.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 28.9 minutes per game … Shot .403 from the field, .352 from 3-point range (led the team) and .731 from the foul line … Ranked 13th in the MEAC in assists … Led the Aggies in assists 17 times and had five or more assists in five contests … Also led the Aggies in scoring on five different occasions … Posted 82 assists against only 58 turnovers … Played 40 or more minutes six times …  Matched his career high four times during the season starting with a 17-point, 5-assist performance in a win over Bakersfield at Corbett on Jan. 3…The Jan. 3 start was Abdullah’s first start in nine games … Had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists in a home loss to Delaware State on Jan. 24 … Scored 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting in 45 minutes of action as the Aggies defeated Morgan State 60-57 in overtime at Corbett … In the game, Abdullah hit two free throws to send the game into overtime and then had a key offensive rebound that sealed the win for A&T.

2013-14 Season: Played in 18 games without a start…Averaged 1.2 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out six assists during the season…In conference play, he averaged 2.0 points in eight games played…Was 6-for-9 from the free throw line during the season…Played a season-high 23 minutes and dished out two assists in a 91-64 win over Greensboro College on Nov. 8…Played 21 minutes and scored a career-high five points in a 75-70 overtime loss to S.C. State on Feb. 17 as his increased minutes were due to an injury to starting point guard Jeremy Underwood…Five days later he matched his career high in points in a loss to N.C. Central.

2012-13 Season: Played in three games for the Aggies…Made his debut at Florida A&M on Jan. 14…Also played against S.C. State on March 2 and during the MEAC tournament against Florida A&M on March 12.
