Timothy Alderman
6-3, 215, Linebacker
Fort Valley, Ga./Peach County/Austin Peay
The Skinny: Alderman spent four seasons at Fort Valley State University (2020-23), appearing in 27 games at the defensive end position. He spent last season at Austin Peay. He played only four games at Austin Peay in 2024, but during his three years at FVSU, he made 107 tackles, 38 for loss for a total of 152 tackle yards lost. He also had 17 sacks during his time at FVSU. He earned first-team All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in 2022.
Jaylen Baker
6-3, 225, Tight End
Lakewood, Calif./Mayfair HS/Cerritos Community College
The Skinny: He will provide an offensive weapon from the tight end position. He attended Cerritos Community College, where he played nine games last season, making five receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown. The prior season, he caught two passes for 53 yards. As a senior at Mayfair High School, he caught 16 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown.
Kamari Blankumsee
5-10, 175, Defensive Back
Quitman, Ga./Brooks County/Fort Valley State
The Skinny: In two seasons and 20 games played at Fort Valley State University, Blankumsee made 62 tackles with six for loss. Blankumsee also intercepted five passes, including four during the 2023 season. He also finished his career at FVSU with 11 passes defended. As a freshman, he earned second-team All-SIAC in 2023.
Andrew Dorsey
6-3, 300, Offensive Lineman
Atlanta, Ga./Langston Hughes HS/Fort Valley State
The Skinny: Dorsey has two years of eligibility after transferring to A&T from FVSU. After last season, Dorsey earned a spot on the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Football All-South Region team after blocking for the SIAC's leading rusher. In addition, he and his offensive line teammates gave up the fewest sacks in the SIAC. He also earned first-team All-SIAC honors as a sophomore in 2024.
Phinnell Marshall
6-4, 295, Offensive Lineman
Providence, RI/West Charlotte/Gardner-Webb
The Skinny: Marshall committed to Gardner-Webb in the fall of 2023. He did not play in an official game for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Marshall entered the transfer portal in December with four years of eligibility remaining. Marshall also committed to A&T in December.
Tyson Morrer
6-4, 305, Offensive Lineman
Charlotte, NC/Providence Day School/ETSU
The Skinny: He attended East Tennessee State before transferring to A&T. He will enter Aggieland with three more years of eligibility. He played one game at ETSU after spending his freshman season at Gardner-Webb. As a high school standout at Providence Day (NC) School under head coach Chad Grier, Morrer helped the Chargers win back-to-back NCISAA Division I State championships. He was also selected for the Carolina Bowl Senior Showcase and Queen City Senior Bowl. As a senior, he led Providence Day to a 12-1 record, played on an offense that averaged 425.0 yards per game and scored 50-plus points five times.
Anthony Murphy
6-3, 225, Defensive End
Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley HS/Howard University
The Skinny: Anthony Murphy comes to A&T with three years of eligibility remaining. He comes to A&T from a fellow HBCU, Howard University. He was a three-star athlete, according to 247 Sports, coming out of Bishop Hartley High School. He came out of high school as a linebacker, ranked 73rd-best in Ohio. He also received interest from Army, Navy and Air Force.
Gabriel Navarro
6-5, 305, Offensive Line
Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne/Virginia State
The Skinny: He played 10 games at Virginia State last season before transferring to A&T. He helped the Virginia State Trojans reach the 2024 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) championship game with a 7-4 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the CIAA. The Trojans had the second-best offense in the CIAA.
Ahmad Poole
6-0, 290, Defensive Tackle
Danville, Va./George Washington HS/Virginia State
The Skinny: Poole comes to A&T after spending two seasons in Petersburg, Va., at Virginia State. He played 19 games and secured 52 tackles. He also had eight tackles for loss from his defensive line position. In addition, he recorded four sacks for the Trojans, who advanced to the 2024 CIAA championship game.
Jedidiah "JT" Smith
6-0, 205, Running Back
Charlotte, NC/Hough/Wofford
The Skinny: He played in 11 games with one start during the 2024 season. He rushed for 283 yards and three touchdowns on 74 carries. He also had 24 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 278 yards and a touchdown on 67 carries as a freshman. In addition, he secured nine receptions for 24 yards. As a four-year starter at William Amos Hough High School, he earned all-conference all four seasons, including his senior year where he rushed for 1,694 yards and 20 touchdowns on 158 carries.
Nelson Layne
6-3, 190, Quarterback
Highland Springs, Va./Highland Springs HS
The Skinny: He should add to the Aggies quarterback depth. He will add another speedster to the quarterback room along with Kevin White, Jr. Layne committed to Army before deciding to play at A&T. He rushed for 741 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior. He also threw for 1,072 yards and eight touchdowns from the quarterback position.
Anthony Sanchez
6-3, 225, Tight End
Gainesville, Fla/Bucholz HS
The Skinny: The Aggies had another weapon from the tight end position. Sanchez played 11 games as a senior, making 16 receptions for 203 yards. Â
Tyler Howard
6-0, 175, Defensive Back
Tallahassee, Fla./Lincoln HS
The Skinny: Tyler Howard should add to the Aggies defense from the secondary. He made 82 tackles during his career with Lincoln. He intercepted two passes as a junior at Lincoln. On offense, he rushed for 225 yards as a senior. He also returned kicks and punts for Lincoln.
Malik Brown
6-5, 315, Offensive Line
Chesterfield, Va./Matoaca
The Skinny: The Aggies leaned heavily toward signing offensive linemen, including Brown, who will bring size and versatility to the A&T offensive line. He played on a dominant team at Matoaca. His Warriors team rushed for more than 1,500 yards and passed for more than 2,200.
Camarion Ragland
6-6, 230, Defensive End
Henderson, NC/Vance County
The Skinny: Ragland adds another edge rusher to the locker room for A&T. In two years at Vance County, Ragland made 46 tackles, including seven for loss. He also had 2 ½ sacks for Vance.
Mykell Harvey
6-0, 180, Athlete
Roanoke, Va./Northside
The Skinny: Harvey is versatile in many ways. He played running back and wide receiver at Northside High School. He was also a star on the boys' basketball team.
Jashaun "Peewee" Jones
6-1, 180, Cornerback
Charlotte, NC/West Charlotte
The Skinny: "PeeWee" Jones is known for being extremely versatile. He is tremendously fast and quick on his feet. Jones ended his senior season at West Charlotte with 27 tackles, including six for loss. He also forced a fumble. Jones was ranked in the top 50 among defensive backs in North Carolina. He initially committed to Charlotte before becoming an Aggie.
Jy'Arie Walls
6-2, 190, Quarterback
Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic
The Skinny: Walls sat behind one of the top quarterbacks in Pennsylvania history before becoming a starter. As a senior, he threw for 2,625 yards and 12 touchdowns. He completed 56.1 percent of his passes.
Eddie Conover
6-2, 215, Linebacker
Cornelius, NC/Hough
The Skinny: He became a standout at Hough by his sophomore season. During his career, he totaled 165 tackles, including 39 for loss. He also had 19 sacks during his 34-game career. He led Hough to a 12-2 record as a senior.
