HEATING UP: A&T is hitting .260 as a team in the last 12 games with 11 home runs. Freshman Icess Tresvik has hit five of those home runs. 

WHO'S ON FIRE: Dezianna Patmon is hitting .370 (10-for-27) in her last 11 games with eight runs scored, two home runs and nine RBI. In addition, she is sporting a .593 slugging percentage and a .485 on-base percentage. Icess Tresvik is hitting .455 (15-for-33) in her last 12 games with 11 runs scored, five home runs, two doubles and 14 RBI with a .970 slugging percentage and a .459 on-base percentage.

AGGIES OVERVIEW: Last time out, the Aggies stepped out of conference play and hosted Western Carolina in a doubleheader Wednesday. WCU won the first game, 6-3. But A&T won Game 2, 6-5, after Dezianna Patmon hit a walk-off two-run home run over the left field fence in the eighth inning. 

Tresvik went a combined 4-for-5 with two runs scored, two home runs and four RBI. Sophomore Kendall Macauley went 4-for-7 with four runs scored, a double, a triple and an RBI.

In the first game, sophomore Kayla Douglas appeared in relief, pitching three shutout innings, giving up only one hit and striking out two batters. Then, freshman Mariah Headen won her first collegiate game by pitching all eight innings, giving up three earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.

FIGHTING CAMELS OVERVIEW: After dropping the opening game, 4-0, of a three-game series against Presbyterian, Campbell has won three straight, including a 5-3 win at N.C. Central the last time out.

Delaney McDilda leads the team with a .327 batting average, five doubles and 17 RBI. Tyra Parker has a .321 batting average, and Claudia Ware has the most hits and runs on the team with 23 and 18, respectively. 

Isabella Smith leads the team with a 7-5 record and a 2.32 ERA in the circle. Georgeanna Barefoot has an 8-3 record and a 2.96 ERA. 

News & Notes: 

  • Freshman Joey Barkhimer has at least two strikeouts in the 10 appearances, where she has pitched at least two innings.
  • Tresvik received the first Big South Conference pitcher of the week honor in program history. 
  • She is the third Aggie to receive a weekly honor joining Patmon (2/22) and Jailyn Tineo (2/28) with freshman of the week honors.
  •  Macauley has the longest current hitting streak with three games.
