WHO'S ON FIRE: Freshman Jailyn Tineo is hitting .444 (12-for-27) in her last 11 games with four doubles, five runs scored, a triple, a home run and 16 RBI. In addition, she is sporting a .778 slugging percentage and a .516 on-base percentage.
Freshman Joey Barkhimer leads the team with a 5-1 record and a 2.61 ERA. She has eight appearances with six starts, and 45.2 innings pitched.
AGGIES OVERVIEW: Last time out, the Aggies went 1-4 at the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament last weekend in Auburn, Ala. Tresvik led the Aggies with a .429 batting average and hit four home runs, including her first career grand slam. She also totaled nine RBI, scored five times and recorded a 1.357 slugging percentage.
Head coach Patti Raduenz is in her third season at A&T. The COVID-19 pandemic cut her first season to only 23 games played. Raduenz then led the Aggies to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Southern Division title in her second year.
EAGLES OVERVIEW: Winthrop went 4-1 at the Thundering Herd Round Robin last weekend, including two wins against Maryland Eastern Shore. Paige Rivas leads the Eagles with a .382 batting average, and Ashton Vanhouse bats .325. Reese Basinger has a 2-4 record and a 2.96 ERA in the circle.
