CONWAY, S.C. – North Carolina A&T softball fell to Maryland 7-3 on Day 2 of the Chanticleer Showdown hosted by Coastal Carolina Saturday in St. John Stadium.
Maryland broke a scoreless tie in the third inning by scoring three runs.
The Aggies scored one in the fourth inning to cut the lead to 3-1 as freshman

The Terps scored two runs in the fifth inning after an RBI single and a groundout t o the second base to drive home a run to increase the lead to 5-1.
Maryland scored two more runs in the sixth to take a 7-1 lead.
Jazzmaine Hammond homered in the seventh inning to cut the lead to 7-2, and
Dezianna Patmon singled to center field to drive home Macauley for the final run of the game.
Macauley went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Hammond went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Senior
Jocelyn Bennett went 2-for-3.
S'Nyiah Stinson (2-4) picked up the loss pitching 2.2 innings giving up three runs, one earned, on five hits.
Mariah Headen pitched the final 4.1 innings giving up four runs, three earned, on six hits.
