A&T Softball Releases 2023 Schedule Featuring 22 Home Games

The Aggies will host a season-opening tournament.

EAST GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T's 2023 softball schedule features 22 home games, including hosting a season-opening weekend tournament at the Lady Aggies Softball Complex. Interim head coach Diego Ibarra announced the new schedule on Tuesday. 

The Aggies' season-opening tournament (Feb. 10-12) features Youngstown State and Norfolk State. After hosting a tournament, the Aggies will be guests at three consecutive tournaments, starting with a tournament hosted by Winthrop University on Feb. 17-19 in Rock Hill, S.C. A week later, the Aggies will play in Georgia Southern's GATA Challenge in Statesboro, Ga., Feb. 24-26. Finally, N.C. A&T returns to South Carolina March 3-4 to play in the University of South Carolina's tournament.  

A day after the USC tournament ends, the Aggies will head north to play UNC Wilmington Sunday afternoon, March 5, at 5:30 in Rock Hill, S.C., in a non-conference game. 

N.C. A&T follows with five straight home dates, starting with a noon doubleheader against Detroit Mercy on March 8. Two more home doubleheaders follow with Quinnipiac on March 10 and the Aggies' first-ever Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) three-game conference series, starting with a March 18 doubleheader against Drexel. 

Drexel returns to the Complex for the series finale on March 19 before the Aggies play their last non-conference home game of the season against Appalachian State on March 22. N.C. A&T's remaining non-conference road games are at N.C. State (March 29), at USC Upstate (April 4), at N.C. Central (April 12) and at App State (April 25). 

The Aggies remaining road CAA three-game series is at UNCW (March 25-26), at Monmouth (April 7-8), at Towson (April 15-16), and at Hampton (April 29-30). The remaining home conference games are against Hofstra (April 1-2), College of Charleston (April 22-23) and Elon (May 5-6). 

The CAA tournament is May 9-13 at Bill Edwards Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y.
