MILLSBORO, Del. – The North Carolina A&T bowling team went undefeated on Friday during Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Meet #1 at Millsboro Lanes. The Aggies lead the tournament with a 5-0 mark and 4,971 total pins.
A&T, ranked seventh in the nation in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll, finished ahead of No. 12 Delaware State. The Hornets went 3-1 with 4,879 pins, and No. 14 Maryland Eastern Shore went 4-0 with 4,773 pins.
The Aggies (25-5) started their prosperous day by defeating Norfolk State 954-798 before defeating No. 23 Monmouth 954-907 in the second.
A&T bowled its way to a 956-886 win against Howard to move to 3-0 and furthered the day by going over 1,000 pins for the first time with a 1,072-967 win over Delaware State. The Aggies went plus 1,000 again with a 1,035-952 win over No. 19 Morgan State.
The competition begins at 1:30 p.m. at Millsboro Lanes on Saturday and will feature another day of Baker play.
