Coach Washington's opening statement: "Homecoming, GHOE, what more could be said? It was a character win. I thought the guys showed true grit and no quit in the effort that was displayed. At halftime, they received the information given to them, and then they came out and made that happen, showing a lot of character. I am very proud of this team in general. If you look back on the first three ballgames, we were 0-3, and it seemed like nothing was going right for us. We weren't going in the right direction. Most teams would have folded under those situations, but this team was able to stick together and LOA, love one another. We stood on that, and look at us now."
Coach Washington on what adjustments made at halftime:Â "Honestly, a lot of it was personnel. We had two people that were injured. Stuckey went down, which was a big hurt, and then we had another player who didn't play. Normally, if you play one backup, then your chances are greater. We played with two backups. They settled down, we made two adjustments, and everything seemed to work for us. To make a long story short, we rotated the weaker side. We sent the backup in and rolled the safety down. We sent the corner to the third and just reversed it. It was a look he had not seen before, so we were able to burn him. That's what led to the Pick-6. We tried to get him to throw it to the No. 2 guy. That is where we thought he would throw it, and he ended up finding Jacob. That was a bad choice."
Tuten on his afternoon:Â "I just saw a hole and just do what I do. The line really opened the hole up. We practiced this, so it hit in the game. I just did my job and finished strong."
Tuten on how it feels to be a part of this well-balanced team effort today:Â "It feels great. They make great plays. Having multiple people making great plays is hard for the defense to game plan for that. But, I feel they came out today on their A game, and the talent showed."
Roberts on if the team was down after they moved the ball in the first half:Â "No, we weren't down. They were making winning play in the first quarter, but we held our heads up and didn't give up. One of the players told us to bend but don't break, and that's what we did. We fought back."
Roberts on if the no-huddle offense surprised them:Â "No, we were practicing for it. We prepared for it, and we knew it was coming."Â
Roberts on if that was the biggest play he's made as an Aggie: "I don't know about that. There's more to come."
Roberts on his interception:Â "I wanted to get to the end zone and put points on the board. I knew I had to get to the flats as soon as possible. The ball was thrown, I reached my hand out, and it fell into my hands. Going to the crib."
Roberts on his homecoming score:Â "It felt great. All the fans showed up and showed out. It gave us a big momentum boost; the rest was history."
Tuten on his relationship with fellow running back Wesley Graves:Â "We got very close. That is my roommate when we travel, and that's my dog. Just being on and off the field with him brought us closer. We can help each other play better and practice better. It goes hand in hand to make us both better."
Coach Washington on what led to too many players on the field:Â "That was the result of poor coaching. That is all on us. We did a bad job at substitutions, and we knew that it could be an issue because of the tempo. We knew they were going to go fast, and we were trying to get different groups on the field, and we didn't do a very good job of it. We did a terrible job at it, and it cost us 14 points. They scored 14 points because of substitutions."
Coach Washington on the mentality going into the second half with an 18-point deficit:Â "Obviously, we thought that we shouldn't have put ourselves in that predicament. We had to find a way to dig ourselves out, and we thought we had the win. We knew we could still run the football and were having a lot of success offensively, but we weren't putting up any points. You win a game by points."
Coach Washington on offensive coordinator Chris Barnette:Â "I thought he did an amazing job. We knew we could run the ball on them, just at what magnitude. We had a lot of success in the first half in yardage, but we didn't get the points, which is the conversation. We can use the yardage, but we need the points. We were able to put the ball in the endzone to score those points in the second half that we didn't do in
 the first half."
Coach Washington on how proud of the team and their resilience:Â "I am so proud of them, to the point of tears. The first thing I did was cry when I got in there because of where we started as an 0-3 team. Now here we are."
Coach Washington on how Fowler played:Â "He is getting better every day. He is getting better with every practice and every game. He is so cool, calm, and collected. Sometimes he is too cool for me. I made a call, and there he goes shooting me a thumbs up, and I'm over there jumping up and down. He's a little too cool sometimes. He is very collected, and he plays like a senior. The guys respect him as a leader."
Coach Washington on the Aggies finish:Â "It takes 60 minutes to play a football game, and you aren't going to beat someone in 30. You win and lose how you finish. We finished with more points."
