NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES (9-6, 1-2 BIG SOUTH):Â The Aggies fell to High Point 3-1 in their Big South Conference home opener Tuesday night at Moore Gymnasium.
Naiya Sawtelle (6-0, FR, outside hitter, Stuart, Fla.) led the Aggies with 12 kills and added eight digs, two blocks and a .281 hitting percentage. Andrea Laboy-Rivera (5-5, SR, libero, Coamo, Puerto Rico) led the team with 13 digs and three services. The three service aces enter her in the top-10 in school history.
Head coach Hal Clifton is two wins away from his 100th career win. Over the last four seasons, the Aggies are 55-43 (.561) overall and 34-8 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The Aggies have posted at least a .500 winning percentage or better over the last four seasons.Â
RADFORD HIGHLANDERS (2-12, 0-2 BIG SOUTH):Â Radford has lost their last five matches and faces High Point Friday before facing the Aggies. Hailey Flowers leads the Highlanders with 2.31 kills per set. Login Williams averages 5.11 assists per set, and Grace Green averages 2.85 digs. Kennedi Johnson leads the team in blocks per set (0.98).Â
Sherisa Livingston is in her second season leading Radford. Last season, the Highlanders posted a 3-13 Big South record in the spring.
THE SERIES:Â After starting the series with a 3-0 win in 2005, the Aggies have lost six straight to the Highlanders. The teams last met in 2016 in a 3-2 Radford win.Â

- Edie Brewer needs five kills to move into seventh place all-time in school history past Aleena McDaniel's 828 from 2012-15. She is tied with Mara Davis (1996-99) for seventh in block assists with 188.Â
- Brewer's 157 service aces put her 29 behind Brenden Chatman (2004-07) for second place, and her 920 digs put her 18 behind Brooke Stamnes (2012-15).Â
- Addy Warfield has 944 assists and needs 56 more to become the ninth player in school history with 1,000.
- Shaylynn Hall has 199 block assists to rank sixth in school history. Hall is seeking to become the fifth player in school history to record at least 200 block assists. Hall has 38 solo blocks and needs six to tie sixth place (Jasmine Lindor with 44 from 2014-17).Â
- Andrea Laboy-Rivera has 71 service aces tied with Michelle Spottiswood (1995-96) and Fei Yi (2001-02) for 10th all-time. Laboy-Rivera has 1,264 digs and needs 191 to move into second place in front of Lauren Walker (2004-06). 6).Â
