GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina A&T fell to UNC Greensboro 12-3 in five innings at UNCG Softball Stadium Wednesday.

Patti Raduenz said. "They continue to keep fighting. They came out and scored two runs to begin the game. They are never out of a game, not matter what the score is. I love that they have that attitude and that work ethic."
The Aggies started the game scoring two runs in the top of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead heading to the bottom of the first inning.
Sophomore center fielder
Eternal Fuller started the inning with a walk. Junior second baseman
Stephanie Williams then hit an RBI double to left field to drive home Fuller for a 1-0 lead.
Junior designated player Haliee Cutts reached on a fielder's choice moving Williams to third. Sophomore catcher Nikki Varela grounded out to second base to drive home Williams for a 2-0 lead. The inning kept going as Cutts advanced to third on a wild pitch and sophomore third baseman
Vivica Boyd walked.
Boyd, however, was caught stealing for the second out before a strikeout eventually ended the inning.
UNCG scored four runs in the bottom half of the inning after three RBI singles and an RBI hit-by-pitch to take a 4-2 lead. The Spartans scored six runs in the second inning to take a 10-2 lead after a two-run home run, a solo home run, two RBI walks and a wild pitch scored a run.
The Aggies scored a run in the third inning after Cole singled home sophomore pinch runner
Cinsear Saunders to cut the lead to 10-3. UNCG scored the final two runs in the bottom half of the inning after an RBI single and an RBI double.
The Aggies were led by Williams, Cole and freshman right fielder
Moriah Terry. Each went 1-for-2 at the plate, while Williams, Cole and Varela recorded an RBI apiece.
Kayla Douglas (1-4) picked up the loss pitching 1.1 innings giving up four earned runs on seven hits.
The Spartans were led by Samantha Lagrama going 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Hannah Stiltner (1-1) picked up the win in a complete game giving up three runs on three hits.
The Aggies are back in action with the N.C. State Tournament this weekend. N.C. A&T starts with Lehigh Friday at 3 p.m. They play two games on Saturday against Lehigh (10 a.m.) and NSCU (3 p.m.). The Aggies finish the tournament with two games on Sunday against James Madison (12:30 p.m.) and NCSU (3 p.m.).
