The Aggies are coming off solid performances against Appalachian State and Dartmouth.

AGGIES OVERVIEW: North Carolina A&T went 1-4 last weekend with a 7-5 comeback win over Appalachian State and a 2-1 loss against Dartmouth in eight innings the last time out. The top four batters are hitting a combined .314 with 12 RBI and 37 runs.  Junior second basemen Stephanie Williams leads the team with 11 hits and four doubles. Sophomore third baseman Desttany Parker leads the team with six RBI and sophomore catcher Nikki Valera leads the team with five runs scored. In the circle, the two freshman pitchers, Kayla Brown and Kayla Douglas, are a combined 2-5 with a 4.28 ERA and 13 strikeouts.

UNC GREENSBORO: UNC Greensboro went 2-1 in their home tournament last weekend and finished the tournament with two wins including an 8-5 win over North Carolina. The Spartans are led by Delaney Cumbie with a .333 batting average and Jasmine Palmer with a .278 batting average. In the circle, Morgan Scott has a 4-3 record with a 3.40 ERA with 19 strikeouts.

Up Next: The Aggies travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the N.C. State Invitational this weekend.  N.C. A&T starts the tournament with one game Friday against Lehigh at 3 p.m. Two games follow on Saturday with Lehigh at 10 a.m. and N.C. State at 3 p.m.  The Aggies finish the tournament with two Sunday games against James Madison at 12:30 p.m. and N.C. State at 3 p.m.
