The Aggies have been putting on a 3-point showcase lately. They knocked down 14 3-pointers in a win over Mid-Atlantic Christian last Tuesday before going 14-for-23 from 3-point range in their blowout win over Delaware State on Saturday. Terry Harris (7-for-11) and Qua Copeland (6-for-8) led the way from outside combining to go 13-for-19 from three. The Aggies, who lead the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in field goal percentage, have shot better than 50 percent over the last three games. Both the Aggies conference games thus far have come on the road. The last time the Aggies won three straight road conference games came during the 2011-12 season when they beat Howard, Morgan State and Coppin State consecutively.
MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE OVERVIEW: The Hawks come into the game looking for their first conference win of the season after losing to N.C. Central on Saturday. The Hawks other two losses were blowout losses to Morgan State in Baltimore and Howard in Princess Anne, Md. The Aggies will see a familiar face on the sideline in MDES interim head coach Clifford Reed. Reed spent 10 seasons as Bethune-Cookman's head coach before leaving the school in 2011. Reed had success against the Aggies while at B-CU going 9-6 versus N.C. A&T. Reed also faced the Aggies as an assistant Savannah State and Georgia Southern. Reed's team is led by Ryan Andino who is averaging 10.1 points per game. Andino didn't play against the Aggies last season, but he has had success versus N.C. A&T. Tyler Jones averaged 19.5 points in two games against N.C. A&T last season on 15-for-26 shooting.
Stepping Up: Graduate Terry Harris has been hot from beyond the arc. He has scored 46 points in his last two games on 12-for-21 shooting from 3-point range. He is the Aggies second-leading scorer at 11.8 points per game and ranks sixth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage.
