DAVIDSON - North Carolina A&T opened the Wildcat Classic with a 3-0 (25-8, 18, 13) loss to MEAC counterpart Norfolk State Friday night at Davidson College. The match was a non-conference contest.

Jeana Daniels led the Aggies with five kills. Norfolk State setter Kristin Burt played a big part in an NSU attack that had a .400 hitting percentage. Burt finished with 28 assists in just three sets.  NSU's Beatriz Ferreira had 13 kills.

The Aggies continue play in the classic on Saturday with two more matches. They play host Davidson at noon and Coastal Carolina at 3 p.m.
