Has traveled thousands of miles to become a North Carolina A&T Aggie...Has an excellent forehand shot, and head coach James Dunwoody will look for her to grow and develop with time.

High School: Attended Cheyenne and Legacy Highs School, and she played varsity tennis all four years...Won the National Scholar-Athlete Award and was the team MVP in 2008-09 and in 2009-10...She won the 2011 Lettermen's Award and was a 2011 league finalist...In 2010, she was a first-place league winner...She was also an MVP in basketball.

Personal: Full name is Unique Shyann Hawkins...She is the daughter of James and Ashley Durrough...Has three siblings, Jaysiah, Jayonni and Jaycari...Was born on Nov. 12, 1994...Majors is psychology, and plans to become a behavioral analyst for the FBI...Her other interests include hanging out with family and friends, reading, playing games and skating...She spent the summer teaching children how to play tennis and traveling...Chose to come to A&T to compete in tennis and live in another part of the country...Her favorite book is Upgrade U, her favorite television show is "Criminal Minds" and Chinese is her favorite food.
