2019-20 Season: Bowled in 31 matches and recorded 5,679 total pins for an average of 183.19 … Had five 200-plus games including a season-high 222 against No. 4 Nebraska on Nov. 2 … Bowled a three-match stretch of 200-plus averaging 217.00 against No. 5 Sam Houston State (214), No. 4 Nebraska (222) and No. 7 Maryland Eastern Shore (215) … Recorded a strike percentage of 44.5 and a spare percentage of 57.9 … Best season finish was eighth at the second MEAC Meet.

2018-19 Season: Bowled 25 matches in team traditional play with a total pinfall of 4,482 for an average of 179.28 … Had four 200-plus games including a season-high 249 against Prairie View A&M on Oct. 27 … Had a strike percentage of 39.4 percent and a spare percentage of 63.1 percent.

2017-18 Season: Bowled 20 matches in team traditional play with a total pinfall of 3,436 and a 171.8 average… Posted a five-game series high of 893 and a 178.6 average on March 17 at the Vanderbilt Columbia 300… Set her season-high game of a 220 at the Hawk Classic.

2016-17 Season: Bowled 25 matches in team traditional play with a total pinfall of 5,097 and a 169.90 average … Posted a five-game series high 947 and 189.40 average on Oct. 22 at the Wildcat Invitational which was also her season-high average … Set her season-high-game of a 221 at the Wildcat Invitational.  

High School: A three-sport athlete at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School in bowling, basketball, and softball … Earned National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society recognition in 2013… Was the four-time champion of the Florida High School Athletic Association District 5 Tournament. 

Personal: Full name is Tyra Merritt … She is the daughter of Keith Merritt… Hasthree siblings, Kimberly, Michael, and Hana… She was born Nov. 6, 1998, and is majoring in Pre-Law… Her favorite food is biscuits and gravy.
