High School: Competed in varsity cross country her freshman year...As a sophomore, she played tennis and varsity track and field...As a junior, she played varsity basketball and track and field, as well as played in the marching band...As a senior, Williams played varsity soccer, basketball and performed in the marching band...She won an MVP award in track and field, won the Coaches Award in Track and Field and in basketball, and won the Willing to Win Gatorade Award in tennis...Williams was also on the A/B Honor Roll. 

Personal: Full name is Shameka Patrice Williams...Her parents are Mary Williams and Norwood Walker...She has eight siblings: Andre, Terrell, Cherod, Vontina, Shamika, Brandon, Bryan and Quez...Williams, who was born on August 31, 1992, is majoring in Social Work...Plans to work as s social worker in a hospital after she graduates...Played in a bowling league this summer.
