One of two outstanding recruits head coach Richard Watkins brought in for Year 2 of the men’s golf program at N.C. A&T … Possesses athleticism, strength and drives the ball effectively off the tee … Had an outstanding freshman season and was on his way to having an outstanding sophomore season before the COVID-19 pandemic came … Became the first N.C. A&T golfer in school history to win a tournament when he won back in 2018 … Will be the building block that made the men’s golf program successful.
 
2019-20 Season: Season was canceled early because of the COVID-19 pandemic … Competed in six tournaments before the season came to an end … Played 13 rounds of golf where he totaled 962 strokes for an average of 74.0 … Had four top-10 finishes, three top-5 finishes and finished second twice … Shot a two-round 3-under par 141 including the lowest second round score of the tournament with a 3-under 69 at the SSU Tiger Invitational, Oct. 28-29 … Gonzalez helped the Aggies finish second at the SSU Tiger Invitational with his performance … Finished tied for second at the Maryland Eastern Shore Collegiate Challenge, Oct. 15-16, along with teammate Xavier Williams as he shot a three-round 6-over 222 to help the Aggies win the tournament for the program’s first-ever tournament victory … Placed fifth at the Black College Hall of Fame tournament, Sept. 27-28, where he shot a 1-over 145 including a round of 1-under 71 on the first day as the Aggies finished third for the tournament … Finished tied for seventh at Lonnie Barton Invitational by shooting a 2-over 146, March 9-10, as the Aggies finished fourth.

2018-19 Season: Competed in 10 tournaments during the season … Played 25 rounds of golf where he totaled 1,897 strokes for an average of 75.88 …. Won the Maryland Eastern Shore Collegiate Challenge in only his second ever collegiate tournament as he shot a 6-under par 210 for the tournament to win by four strokes … Shot a 69 in the second and third rounds of the tournament … Had five top-5 finishes for the year including a fifth-place finish at the PGA Minority Golf Championships where he shot a 5-over 221 … Finished seventh at the Lonnie Barton Invitational hosted by Long Island University by shooting a 5-over 149 … Shot a 14-over 230 to finish seventh at the Black College Hall of Fame Invitational.
 
High School: Attended and competed in golf at Heritage Academy under head coach Martin Hoyos  … Competed on the varsity level for four years … Played club for Bishops Gate Golf Academy … Qualified 10 years in a row for the Central American Tournament both as a prep standout and an amateur … As a senior, finished eighth in the general ranking in Mexico
