Biography

Tomaszewski’s name will forever be written in the annals of North Carolina A&T bowling greats … With one year of eligibility remaining, she has played an integral part in three straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament championships, three regular-season conference titles and three consecutive NCAA appearances … In the process, she is the reigning two-time most outstanding bowler at the MEAC tournament … She is also a three-time All-MEAC performing, including back-to-back first-team recognitions … In 2022, she became the first bowler in program history to earn first-team National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-America honors … The following year, she came away with NTCA honorable mention All-America accolades, and she is also a two-time All-Northeast Region NTCA bowler … Tomaszewski also earned Senior Female Athlete of the Year at A&T’s annual Athletics Banquet along with Catherine Bonner Award for overcoming the odds … As the Aggies anchor, she can go strike-for-strike with any bowler in the country … In the past two seasons, she has recorded 1,233 strikes with a 52.4 percent strike percentage. 

2022-23 Season: Bowled in 73 traditional matches during the season … During traditional play, knocked down 14,837 pins for an average of 203.74, which led the team … Earned first-team All-MEAC honors for the second straight season after being voted the 2022-23 preseason MEAC bowler of the year … Went on to earn her second straight MEAC tournament most outstanding bowler award after leading the Aggies to their third straight MEAC championship by helping the Aggies overcome a 3-1 deficit against Monmouth in a best of seven series. … Tomaszewski’s 10th framed included strike, strike, spare in Game 5 before bowling strike, strike, strike in Game 6 to force a Game 7 that the Aggies won with a little more ease … Also added NTCA honorable mention All-America honors and NTCA All-Northeast Region accolades to her list of postseason awards … Also earned North Carolina A&T’s 2023 Senior Female Athlete of the Year Award … Bowled a season-high 258 against 19th-ranked Lincoln on March 18 at the Music City Classic hosted by Vanderbilt University in Smyrna, Tenn … Bowled 1,223 total frames during the season, leaving only three of them incomplete … Bowled 98 percent of A&T’s frames during the season for the highest percentage on the team … Ranked 24th in the nation in player composite performance index (83.369) … Nationally, ranked ninth in traditional single spare percentage (95.0), anchor bowler 10th frame double strike percentage (30.9) and 12th in anchor bowler 10th frame scoring average (20.621) … Her 9.02 pins average on her first bowling attempt of a frame led the team … Her 615 strikes also led the team along with her 50.2 percent strike percentage … Recorded 434 spares, 418 makeable spares, a team-leading 285 singe pin spares, and she knocked down 133 multi-pin spares, converting 71.5 percent of those attempts … Faced 119 splits, converting 13.4 percent of them. 

2021-22 Season: Participated in 37 matches and knocked down 7,900 pins as a junior … Averaged a team-best 213.5 score per match … Tied for the team lead in 200-plus games with 27, including a 266 on January 29 … Earned First Team All-MEAC and NTCA All-American honors … Named tournament MVP after finishing first at the Prairie View Invitational January 28-30 … Held a 54.5 strike percentage and an eye-popping 74.8 spare percentage. 

2020-21 Season: Bowled in 26 matches in her first year at A&T … Knocked down 5,141 pins at a 197.7 average per match … Compiled 14 200-plus matches, including a season-high 244 on February 20 … Totaled a 49.0 strike percentage and 65.4 spare percentage … Best finish came at the lone MEAC Meet when she finished second. 

2019-20 Season (Stephen F. Austin): Saw action in six matches before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic … Smacked 1,113 pins at a 185.5 average per match … Had one 200-plus game when she bowled a 211 against Sam Houston State on October 18 … Best finish was 30th at the All-State Sugar Bowl October 18-20. 

High School/Club: Played at O’Fallon Township High School … Named Southern Illinois High School Bowling Conference Girls Bowler of the Year as a junior and senior … Named All-Area and First Team All-Conference her final two years as well … Helped her team win their first state title since 1901 in 2019. 

Personal: She was born October 27, 2000, in O’Fallon, Ill., to Dan and Kelly Tomaszewski … Has a younger brother named Bret … Majoring in animal science pre-veterinarian at A&T … Enjoys basketball, karate, and swimming outside of bowling … Aspires to bowl on the professional women’s tour as well as become a veterinarian and start a family in the future … Favorite TV show is ER.
