GREENSBORO – Freshman Victorya White is off to an excellent start to her career in claiming weekly awards from the Mid-Eastern Atheltic Conference. Three weeks after earning rookie bowler of the week from the MEAC, the North Carolina A&T bowler captured MEAC bowler of the week on Thursday.
White helped the Aggies go undefeated by going 7-0 over the weekend during MEAC Meet #1 hosted by the Aggies at Triad Lanes in Greensboro, N.C. The Aggies totaled 7,107 total pins to average 203.1. White posted the best average per frame baker average (21.91). She also had the best fill percentage at 90 percent.
In 70 attempts, she recorded 45 strikes (64.3). She was 18-for-25 in spare attempts (72.0), 17 of 22 in makeable spares (77.3), and 11 of 14 (78.6) in single-pin spares. The Aggies are slightly ahead of the Morgan State Bears, who finished the weekend at 6-1. White and the Aggies return to action this weekend when they compete in the annual Colonial Classic hosted by Tulane University, November 15-17.
