EAST GREENSBORO – Seventh-ranked North Carolina A&T travels to Arlington, Texas this weekend to compete in a tournament that features 12 teams including the top-8 teams in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll.
The No. 1 team in the nation is McKendree followed by Sam Houston State, Nebraska, Arkansas State, Vanderbilt, Maryland Eastern Shore, N.C. A&T and Stephen F. Austin. The other four teams are also ranked in 17
th-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson, 18
th-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater, 25
th-ranked Prairie View A&M and St. Francis (Pa.).
N.C. A&T is 5-13 this season the other top-8 teams in the nation including a 3-1 record against Stephen F. Austin. N.C. A&T has a 2-0 record against Prairie View A&M and a 1-0 record against St. Francis. They have not faced Vanderbilt, Fairleigh Dickinson or Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2019-20.
Junior

Ana Olaya is second on the team with 4,974 total pins and a 186.28 average. She has recorded 11 200-plus games.
Senior
Mia Pope is third on the team with 4,657 total pins for an average of 186.28. Pope has recorded six 200-plus games. Sophomore
Cristina Acosta is fourth on the team with 3,828 total pins for an average of 182.28.
The Aggies travel to Pensacola, Fla., for the second and final Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) meet from Feb. 21-23. N.C. A&T went 9-1 in the first MEAC meet.
