The North Carolina A&T men's basketball team overcame some
haunted memories of playing at home recently to shoot 56.1 percent
from the floor in a 65-54 win over Delaware State Saturday evening
at Corbett Sports Center. Robert
Johnson led the way with 17 points and four rebounds. Dwane Joshua
added 16 points, and Thomas Coleman finished with 10 points, 11
rebounds and four assists.

HER SIGNING CLASS
Jones signs another player from the West Coast

The North Carolina A&T softball team released its class for 2011,
and not a moment too soon. Mamie Jones will lose eight seniors off
of the 2010 team. Jones signed six players, including three North
Carolinians.

Aggies sign four offensive linemen
GREENSBORO, February 3, 2010 --
The North Carolina A&T football program announced the signing
of 18 football players to national letters of intent on National
Football Signing Day Wednesday.
Five of the Aggies signees are linebackers, and three of the signees
are from Triad schools.

Brittney Hodges, senior Bianca Alsobrook and sophomores Danielle
Nguyen and LaShawn Nevins made the National Fastpitch Coaches
Association annual all-academic team.

The rebounding tandem of Lamona
Smalley and Nikia Gorham registered double-doubles, and freshman point
guard Amber Calvin scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished
out six assists as the N.C. A&T women's basketball team defeated Morgan
State 67-56. |

AWAY FROM AGGIES LATE
Porter grabs nine rebounds
GREENSBORO, February 1, 2010 -- Tavarus Alston scored 23
points and Thomas Coleman added 11 points and eight rebounds, but a
late surge by Morgan State led by leading scorer Reggie Holmes led
the Bears to a 74-65 win Monday night at Corbett Sports Center.
Holmes had 11 points in the final seven minutes of the game. |
